Rogowski current sensors are suitable for various applications, from outdoor or harsh environment for utilities to indoor and C&I environments.
A Rogowski coil produces a voltage output based on the rate of change of the current input. The absence of magnetic core ensures low inductance and comes with no saturation, resulting with a fast response and no inserted losses.
Our partner LEM is providing a complete range of Rogowski sensors (for both indoor and outdoor) and integrators.

ARU series for outdoor use:

  • Class accuracy 0.5 conductor centered according to IEC 61869-10
  • Better than 1% accuracy regardless of the primary conductor’s position
  • Rated insulation voltage 1kV CATIII
  • 10.4 mm gauge with sensing apertures of Ø 125mm to 300mm
  • UV, water, dust, and ice resistant for outdoor installations
  • Bandwidth: 50/60 Hz

ART series for Indoor use:

  • Class accuracy 0.5 conductor according to IEC 61869-10
  • Better than 0.75% accuracy regardless of the primary conductor’s position
  • Rated insulation voltage 1kV CATIII
  • 6.1 mm gauge with sensing apertures of Ø 70 to 300mm
  • Bandwidth: 50/60 Hz, up to 700kHz in open circuit condition (no load)
  • Operating range: -40°C to +80°C

… and more benefits with Rogowski technology:
Rogowski Coil sensors are used for measuring alternating current (AC) or high-speed current. The induced voltage being proportional to the derivative current in the straight conductor, it is common to plug an integrator to the output of the smart grid sensor as it will provide an output signal that is proportional to the current.
Rogowski sensors’ absence of magnetic circuit offer several advantages:
• Reduced cost
• Coil can be opened and is flexible, it can be wrapped easily around a live conductor.
• No saturation, resulting in high linearity.
• Low inductance, allowing for fast responses to changing currents.
• No inserted losses
• Current monitoring for all typical applications (current demand, Energy efficiency, monitoring for grid or Industrial & commercial applications …)
• Demand power flow monitoring
• Fault detection
• Theft detection
